How do I calculate my calories or TDEE (total daily energy expenditure)?

When you create an account with Dutrition, you get to the user stats screen, where you enter your info and your calories will be instantly calculated. Both BMR (basal metabolic rate) and TDEE.

How do I calculate my macros?

In the same calories screen, Dutrition gives you macro recommendations based on your goal. For example, if fat loss is your goal, protein gets a larger percentage of your total calories than if you are trying to gain weight. You can also update them according to your liking.

How does the “meal strategy” works?

We have created meals of 400 calories and snacks of 200 calories. This lets us create meal plans for a daily caloric expenditure of 2000, 2200, 2400 calories, etc. After we round your desired calories to the appropriate number, we generate the combinations that are possible for this amount of calories. We filter out the ones that are not usable, like having more snacks than meals and we sort according to how easy they are to follow. For example, 3 meals of 400 calories are a better choice than one of 800 and one of 400, cause same meals are easier to follow through.

How can I see the recipes for my meals?

Each meal has a button that says “Show Recipe”, you can click on it and see the full recipe for a meal.

How can I see the grocery list for my meal plan?

In the dashboard page, you can click on the button “Grocery List for your plan” and you will see the full list of groceries for your meal plan

Is there a mobile app for Dutrition?

Not yet but we are working on it.
